As he gets ready for International Series Thailand at Thai Country Club in Bangkok this week, LIV Golf League star Peter Uihlein is hopeful that his recent experience winning a significant tournament in England will work to his advantage.
In the fourth event of the series, the big-hitting American, who presently plays for RangeGoats GC in the LIV Golf League, dominated the competition and easily won by seven shots at Foxhills Club & Resort in Surrey. Uihlein is now in third place in The International Series Rankings after this victory and a strong sixth-place showing in Oman earlier in the season.
He hopes to return to winning ways in Thailand, after being disappointed by a T44 in the Black Mountain Championship in Hua Hin, the fifth race in the series, last week.
He remarked, "It is always nice to win," in reference to the confidence he had developed in England. Even though I didn't really have any results to back it up, I thought I was playing well coming into it. It was good to see the results, and it's always good to win, no matter where you are.
After feeling rather well, I performed admirably in the LIV Golf League. Not really noteworthy, but a good way to end the year.

Uihlein is spending a second weekend in a row in Thailand, another location that has seen a lot of airmiles this year. "I love playing and I love traveling, and the International Series is great for both of those things," he added.
"It is a pretty global schedule, and it is fantastic and fantastic for the game—Oman, Morocco, Thailand, England, and then Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Qatar."
Last year, at the Black Mountain Golf Club, where the tournament was held last weekend, Wade Ormsby emerged victorious. He hopes the performance would boost his confidence as well.
"Defending the championship at any event is a terrific feeling," he added. "We had a good year there last year, although on a different golf course. This is my first visit to Thai Country Club, and despite the considerable amount of rain we have had, the golf course is excellent and in excellent condition.
This season, Ormsby has been traveling as an alternate with the LIV Golf League, and the seasoned Australian is hopeful that this week's experience of mingling with some of the world's top players will be worthwhile.
"Being around the guys out there is just amazing," he remarked. "Whether you are practicing, on the range, or somewhere else, you are always learning this game, especially when you are surrounded by people of that caliber.
"I will definitely try to bring that back out here because it is infectious to be around them."
Despite enjoying two consecutive full seasons in the LIV Golf League, Vincent, the 2022 International Series Rankings winner, was unable to avoid relegation this season.
The Zimbabwean is happy to be back on the field with The International Series, which, should he win the rankings race this season, provides a good path back to the big time.
"I think it has changed and helped my life," he remarked. I will always think about it, and I am really appreciative of the chance I have been given. I can't wait to compete here, put all I've learned to practice, and hopefully keep becoming better as a player. I think everyone here would agree that it has been fantastic for me.
David Boriboonsub, a local hope, is hopeful that this week a Thai player would be able to step up.
Last week, seven Thai players were in the top 20, including young Boriboonsub, who ended T14 with scores of 65, 69, 67, and 70.
"It is a huge opportunity for me and the Thai players," he remarked. I believe I played this course a lot this week, so I know which holes to target and which ones to be aggressive or play conservative on.
"The Thai players have a great potential in the International Series. The Thai golfers are performing quite well at the moment. Except for the past two weeks, I haven't really played that well.
